EcoFlex Supplied & Installed Test Equipment for Turnkey Contract

Situation

The client requested a skid-mounted self contained Laboratory Building as part of a new turnkey Tank Terminal Project.

The lab was intented to analyze discrete samples of UHC light crude oil and OXI heavy crude oil.

The lab also needed extra-large 1,000 gallon underground tank for petroleum waste and above-ground mineral spirits storage.

Project Scope

The scope of work included all engineering, design and approvals, supply and installation of all equipment and material, fabrication, transportation, commissioning support, and training site personnel in its use and function. Under the Design Phase, EcoFlex worked with the client to define parameters for the Building Plan, Site Layout, Hazardous Waste Handling, and Testing Equipment.

Standard criteria included:

  • Fume hood quantity and size
  • Intrinsically safe (IS) fume hood area
  • Gas detection systems
  • Alarm Systems
  • Hazardous area classifications

The Modular Construction design included structural steel framed floor, pre-engineered insultated walls and roof, and metal siding.
